What CAM X wine are you drinking tonight?

yep, 24-hour decant should work well on that wine.

Why is lot 34 so damn good? Why was this wine bulked out? I’d love to see more wines in that zone. It’s like full throttle fruit but not overly syrup-y, enrobed in graham crackers with great acidity. If there are tannins, they are disguised.

Longtime lurker here, first post ever. Been through De N and Cam H in past and CamX VIP now. Drinking CamX lot 2 tonight after 5 hour decant and find it delicious. Planning to move in next few months so trying to establish posting credentials prior to moving from DFW to list ~20 cases of reds before move. Will probably take my lots 14 and 19 with me, haven’t had either yet.

Lot 21 still seems tight. Should have left it in case another year IMO

Lot 19 is amazing and I have no doubt that lot 14 will also be amazing.

Lot 50 definitely moving in the right direction. Decanted last weekend for about 2 hours and enjoyed across the evening. Not disjointed, just very young and primary, with dark fruit, pleasant chalkiness on the finish, and defined-but-not-jarring tannins. Disappointed to miss Lot 80 and hope it gets back in stock!

All I know is, I tried a bottle of X34 PS very early and it was definitely shocked! Within 10 minutes I ordered a second case. :wine_glass::wine_glass::wine_glass: Best PS ever, even while shocked :man_shrugging:
Bulked out, probably due to market conditions?

Three cases of CX Lot 34 Oakville 2024 Petite Sirah ordered! Alas, only one for me, one each for daughter and son. Regardless of Wine Berserker reactions, I’ve got this on hold for 2028 and will just continue to smile at reactions made about this particular selection. I can do this while plowing through past dN Petite Sirah lots (L 58 McDowell Valley, L 110 Fair Play District, L 161 Walla Walla, L 302 Lanquedoc, L 422 California [Lodi], L 563 Calistoga and a French example). Today, of course, we have so far Cam X’s L 26 Calistoga and L 34 Oakville to look forward to down the road! Is CX’s Lot 100 going to be a Petite Sirah??

I’m just plowing through it like it’s going out of style. I think it’ll have a nice life but the fruit is just so wild right now I’m gonna enjoy it in its youth and que sera sera.

It can’t be ordered by the case I guess anymore but there is the 15% discount?

It’s actually a pretty uniquely good wine. It’s very much dense rich blackberry character of petite sirah but it’s the most graham cracker-y wine I’ve had.
