2006 Dierberg Santa Maria Pinot Noir. After 30 minutes, its showing very well.
I am drinking this
from the 2002 vintage. Just re-posted a “note” recently. Drinking solo, so I’ll just leave it at this bottle. [whistle2.gif]
2006 Louis Martini Sonoma Cab. Damn fine QPR. Thanks for the recs everyone.
An old friend came over for dinner (chicken breast baked at 450 degrees w panko crust and dijon mustard), sauteed spinach with bacon and garlic, and brown rice with mushrooms/white wine. Terrific. I brine the chicken breast with salt water, garlic and chili powder…by far the most tender moist chicken breast!
The wine: 2004 Peay “Las Brumas” Syrah and 2005 Feraud Brunel CdR. Both terrific.
Some more of that Martini Cab.
We just finished a 2001 Ridge Grenache (Grenache, Petite Sirah, Zin) with some dry sausage and cheese watching TiVo’d shows after our lunch at Maria’s.
I was late on this. WineX was out when I dropped by tonight. Picked up a Pepiere Muscadet and a 2007 St Cosme Cotes du Rhone. Note to be posted tomorrow.
Right now?
2007 Pinot Noir Lollapalooza “Fiddlestix” Sta. Rita Hills…bottled last Friday.
Friggin’ Awesome!!!
(disclaimer…I drink this plonk all the time)
Red Barn Coffe Roasters Sumatra right now. (also love the Celebes).
I worked late last night and came home to grill up a NY Strip and popped a 2000 Argiano Solengo in a whim.
I was pleasantly surprised by it since my previous experiences with this have been underwhelming/dissapointing.
The wine has started to mellow a bit showing some tar and earth and lengthy finish.
NO, not Mollydooker…actual cough syrup!
Where is Cheryl when you need her to defend The Dook?
Diet Coke. It’s 10:30 in the morning.
