Y’all realize CC has been fully public since day 1, yeah??

Fully public along with a billion other web pages for someone to stumble on and advertised on the WSJ with blinking lights are two completely different things.

yeah - publicly talking about commerce corner on WSj is dumb.

FB actively shuts down groups that sell alcohol for a reason.

I’m thinking “all gone” isn’t the best way to claim innocence. Maybe one should go with…

No sale I gave them to my sister instead :joy:

Limit to even enter CC should go up from 25 to 2500. If they want to come make them play the long game.

…but seriously what was the thought process here. Lettie doesn’t know enough to say wait a minute either?

Did you miss where he was defending that “it’s always been public”?

Maybe I underestimate government overreach but do people really expect that there will be consequences from postings 2+ years ago necessitating the need to disguise/delete?

I would expect not in the least for previous transactions whatever they may be.
I edited my posts yesterday strictly humoring myself, because I figured out how to look them up.

I would have never updated a CC post from 15 years ago because I was concerned about it. I was just messing around after drinking a glass or three.

Why would I want my old posts to be the most prevalent all the sudden

For some reason the edited posts all showed up as replies and it kicked them to the top. :open_mouth: (maybe I did something)
It seems that happened to others as well. Not sure why.

That said…I have known someone who got caught up in a “make an example” sting. It’s a one in a million thing, but there’s no sense being loose(r) than is absolutely necessary imo.

I’m imagining this will pass quickly without any drama.

Because any time you edit a post it bumps it, as that’s the latest post within it, technically. It will pass more quickly once you stop with all your edits, as they spam the entire ‘new posts’ feed currently

It’s done now…for good.

Just for clarity to all,
I asked mods to clean them up or at least combine into one thread. Request was unsuccessful so this was unfortunately the only outcome that I could find.

it takes an awful lot to lure me out of retirement, but the irony of this thread is just too rich. Not only is Todd insane for signal boosting the single dumbest move possible to jeopardize the community he has built, but I just cannot fathom that we dont have any opinions “coming in hot” from Don Cornwell. After all, he is the judge jury and executioner about liquor laws and most certainly would never participate or endorse the illegal sale of wine between private parties. How can he sleep at night knowing that his chosen venue for false flags, conspiracy and ego stroking is supporting illicit sales? This must be so hard for him.

PS - I dont know a single regulator (and I know way more of them than Don does) who cares about this issue. But I know lots of tax authorities who would gleefully take advantage of this kind of forum for their pursuits. And remember kids, even if Todd takes down a message it’s still discoverable by tax or liquor authorities. Whoever has sold the most wine on commerce corner over the past few years should probably buckle up.
