Staying in Arlington for a wedding next week. I will have lunch on Friday and Saturday and dinner on Friday free. Is there a must go to restaurant(s)…not cuisine specific just want good food. Doesnt have to be wine centric either.
Thanks.
Should note that I have Sunday lunch/brunch also.
Last fall we had an excellent dinner at The Blue Duck Tavern in the Park Hyatt in D.C. http://www.blueducktavern.com/gallery/blueduck/?icamp=blueducktavernredirect" onclick=“window.open(this.href);return false; We also dined at a Spanish tapas restaurant called Jaleo http://www.jaleo.com/” onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; that was very good.
Mike,
Here are a few places I have enjoyed over the years down in the DC area…
-
Cashion’s Eat Place - Cashion's Eat Place :: Closed" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Have gone for dinner, but see they are also open for brunch…
-
Dino’s - http://www.dino-dc.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - This is owned by a fellow board member Dean Gold. I haven’t been in a couple of years but have really enjoyed my meals there.
-
Obelisk - this is on Dupont Circle has a very limited menu and seating, but was probably the best meal I ever had in the area. I cannot find a website for this place. If you have any interest in going to this place. Call now…
Also, have to agree with Jeff’s Jaleo reccommendation. Fun place and very good to great food at times.
