Wanted: Long Beach CA Casual BYO

I’ll be in Long Beach later this month and I’m looking for a BYO that has casual food. Any recommendations within a 20 minute ride?

Lasher’s lashersrestaurant.com on Broadway in Belmont Shore. Cool converted California bungalow, great food. Thursday nights corkage is waived.

+1 on Benley’s. The pho served with raw brisket to dip in is excellent. I love the filet mignon with frenc fries. Get there early or make a reservation. It’s a small place. Corkage used to be zero, but that may have changed

Dan, where in Long Beach are you staying ? We live in the Shore and can recommend quite a few. Agree with all the above and would throw on La Paracolio on Broadway, great family Italian, amazing thin crust pies. A twist would be Beechwood BBQ In downtown. Known as one of the best craft brew houses in the country, their food is serious BBQ, featuring several regional styles, they are serious about wine as well, however I would go just for their amazing rotating taps.

Cheers…

Add me to the list of Benley fans. Best Pho I have had, by far, and they allow BYO. I think it was $10/btl last Thanksgiving.

Beachwood BBQ is great. Not sure if they are BYO, since I away drink from their insane beer selection when I go.

If you are in town next week, let me know. We will be renting a beach house for the week and would love to connect!

Beach Party!

I third Beechwood and in case you want to see what is on tap live - http://beachwoodbbq.com/hopcam.html

My thoughts exactly: I'm a man I'm (almost) 40! Offline in North O.C. March 15 - March 17? - Event Planner - Online or Offline - WineBerserkers

Lasher’s fits perfectly. Thanks.

I may check out one of the others if my other evening is free.

Josh, I’m in town the following weekend.

Bummer, I could have bought you a drink and picked your brain for all these miles I got last year thanks to you!

Hope you have a great trip!

is Frenchy’s Bistro still open? Always solid.

Frenchys sadly closed their doors last year.
