Walter Scott Wines: Good people and . . .

Had it yesterday. Delicious. Really great concentration on the wine while keeping light on its feet.

Had the 16 Freedom Hill Chard yesterday, a little sullen initially, but wow did it deliver in the end. Going to hold my last two bottles at least 5 years and perhaps longer for my 16 X NOVO’s.

Indeed

We opened a 2013 X Novo Chardonnay on New Year’s Eve. It was outstanding (and didn’t last long).

Good to know as I recently pulled my final bottle for near term drinking.

Thinking I’ll bring a mag of 2014 Freedom Hill Chard down for OCC weekend. [cheers.gif]

I opened a 2011 Walter Scott Chardonnay tonight (hey, it’s almost the weekend!) and it was fantastic. Mature, citrus, green apple, spicy, and well balanced. Ever so slightly on the advanced side (and I’m sensitive to this) - enough to add an element of complexity but that’s about it. A joy to drink, and I’m not sure that I would hold this much longer
