Walla Walla Visit

After multiple trips to Napa & Sonoma, we are considering a trip to Walla Walla. Any must visit wineries and/or restaurants? Based on everything I have read, it seems like 3 days is enough. Any comments?

I have only been there once, but 3 days could be enough. One day in each direction and downtown. We were there 3 nights and never got to the west wineries. Another trip for those and Red Mountain would be nice this year.

While I am hardly an expert, I have been to W2 a few times and 3 days should be long enough in the area IMO, usually do a week inbetween there and PDX/WV. The restraurants we have enjoyed are Saffron, Andrea’s Kitchen, and we have heard really good things about Brasserie 4 from everyone who has dined there. In Waitsburg, about a 20 minute drive northeast, there is a really cool little mixology place called Jim German Bar and is one of my favorite places to visit and lots of people really enjoy the Whoop’em Up cafe thats in the town as well. As far as wineries it depends on when you are going as to what will be open to visit. We have always enjoyed Gramercy Cellars, Reynvaan Winery (when open), Woodward Canyon, when visiting. There are lots of places to visit east of town at the Airport, like 10 wineries or tasting rooms so right next to one another. Lots of other tasting rooms are right around town so very accessible. There are a few different styles around so you should be able to find something you like between them. Cheers.

Thanks! Our trip isn’t till August, but we are planning to try Saffron and Brasserie 4 based on comments and Yelp reviews. As for wineries, Dunham, Woodward Canyon, and Pepperbridge are on the tentative list.
