VR G.Mugneret-Gibourg 2005

Can only say,ist not a village in this year.
Really a effort.
young purple-ruby
concentrated,juicy,redcurrants,dancing acidity,cherries,spices,with time more oaky,densely.
Long ,berrylike aftertaste. [cheers.gif]
sure good future.
Sorry, in english is difficult

Thanks for the note. I feel this wine drinks better than a typical village level wine every year Ive tried it.

Thanks,2009 also a buy?or is 2008 “better”?2009 have bought Feusselottes,Ruchottes,Vougeot(no vosne).

Seriously, its great every year. Always worth a purchase if the price is fair. I haven’t opened a 2009 one yet (and dont plan to for a while) but it was rich and luxurious when tried from barrel.

Thanks for the note Roman. I had their 2005 Bourgogne a couple weeks ago, and it positively sang! I can just imagine how good the VR is.

What do you consider a fair price?

Thanks Roman for the very timely note. I just picked up 2 bottles of this less than an hour ago. Looking forward to it.

$60 or less. More than that then you might want to start looking at their Nuits 1er

Thanks at all,so i bought 2 bt. 2009.(-60$ in switzerland)
2005 is really great.young but absolutely enjoyment.

The 2009 is stellar. You won’t regret buying it. Thank you for your notes Roman.

Thanks,i hope so.
Any thoughts Ruchottes-Chambertin 2001?Good,or too young?
Have only one bt. [cry.gif]

Too young! Hold until at least 2016.

This was sensational a couple of years ago. Am greatly looking forward to busting some of their premier crus in time - missed out on the 05 GCs unfortunately.
Cheers and thanks for the note.

Yes! Too young!

Thanks,
for everything there is the right moment . [cheers.gif]
i hope, all find this moment. pileon

Shhhh! I was hoping to get a data point without sacrificing one of my bottles. Oh, well.

a pleasure meeting you [grin.gif]

Cracked one of these a few days ago and was gob smacked how backward and young it was. Pleanty of material, but more like a barrel sample. I suggest that one steers clear for the time being.
