I’ve also purchased wine before from World of wine and the price goes lower later. Still, every time that has happened I bought the wine at an excellent price. It’s frustrating, no doubt, but not a deal breaker for me.
For now, I only purchase from World of wine (Vivino) and have excellent results. I had a DeLille I bought on sale (multiple bottles). Vivino gave a 10% promo the very next day. I opened a chat and asked if they could apply the 10% discount to my order, even though my purchase pre-dated the promo. They did it, no problem.
I bought some of the delille stuff, and i had the same issue and vivino homored theprice adjustment because my order hadnt even shipped yet. My other issue with WOW is its immediate ship regardless of weather. I would actually buy more if they maintained the price longer than a couple days and i could delay shipping to build a case etc. With 100$ ship minimum the value of premium is much less. Whereas before I could buy 1-2 at the sale price do that a couple times a month sepending on the offers. There are very few wines on here that im going to entertain buying a case. Many don’t have much info available so its a crapshoot on some of them.
I never make it to case quantities because they keep rotating prices up and down. So i end up buying 1-3 bottles which was fine when there was no minimum. But generally there are very few wines im going to buy a case of at 30 ish a bottle because many of these vivino offers ive never heard of or there arent enough ratings to be confident. So im going only going to buy 1 to try, by the time i assemble the case they jack the prices back up 2-5$ on each offer
