Opened this last night and served alongside grilled NY strip steaks. Outstanding after an hour in the decanter. No discernable tertiary notes to me, just nicely integrated tannins and a bright acidity.

The 2014 Godspeed Mt Veeder Cab has dropped to $20/bottle. As happy as I was getting 10-15 year old Elivette at $35-$40 shipped, I think this is an even better deal. It’s not as lush, but to my taste, it’s perfectly aged, balanced, and ready to drink right now. At $20/bottle, it’s a fantastic mid-week house wine.

I have had past vintages of Delille’s “Minuit” bottling (looks like they no longer make this), which was commonly 80ish Malbec/30ish Cab Sauv. They do an excellent job with their Malbec. Rushed over to Vivino to nab the ‘22 Red Willow Malbec only to find the price now @ $49.99
