Vivino (Deal discussion)

You’re welcome.

Has anyone had the Delille Shaw? Appears they dropped the price again…Shaw or Four Flags?

The Schweiger Cab looks promising, but already flush with Spring Mountain (Elivette & Cain Five)

Someone said here earlier that the Four Flags was better than the Shaw.

I much preferred the Four Flags over the Shaw. I thought the Four Flags was exceptional. The Shaw wasn’t bad, but I was underwhelmed

2020 Foxen Solomon Hills Pinot $20

2021 Nicholson Jones Prop Cuvée is the current mystery bottle up for $30. Could be good at this price.

it looks like the cab is also on sale *
Nicholson Jones Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019*

Vivino mystery price: $39.99

any thoughts on this?

i would’ve bought a bunch of the recent deals like mekerra, schweiger etc. and even the purlieu mystery offers, but immediate ship is a problem. the NJ offerings looks good especially the sugarloaf- but not willing to chance it with 85+ average next week east coast temps
i also wonder where the higher tier offerings are coming from like distributor returns or wine stores returns or direct from the producer? Occasionally the older comes back into inventory a single bottle levels like individual orders that might’ve been refused and put back in inventory. At which point they might be cooked wine.

FYI, both of these wines are listed under “current release” on the winery website, so I think it’s more likely the winery liquidating them trying to make room for newer vintages.

Yeah i think maison fayard has been slowly offloading excess to WOW. Purlieu, JF, le pich, taplin, belharra, NJ

If only there was a “weather hold” option, I’d be all over this. Has anyone tried the Schweiger that can comment on the quality? Maybe it will become available again at $37!

2023 Sojourn Walala Pinot $35

2023 Sojourn Reuling Pinot $35

2023 Sojourn Reuling Chard $28

It comes up every 2 months between 37 and 40

2021 Gandona Encosta at $39.99. I haven’t tried the ‘21, but the ‘19 is absolutely fantastic wine.

It kills me that I can’t buy this bottle. Find a way for a weather holds, Vivino!

Canvasback (Duckhorn Portfolio) has a few wines on sale at good prices.

Their $100 Grand Passage is currently $35, but was $30 when it hit last week. I used a one-time 20% off coupon that I had and snagged 6 for $24 each.

Their $80 Klipsun Vineyard Cab just hit for $30 each.

Their regular $45 Red Mountain Cab is $20.

Not my style, but the 2016 Chateau Boswell Absolutely Eloise Bentrock Pinot is now $35. That’s a big discount if you like the style.

Now why can’t the Schweiger be $36.99!

Excited about the Gandona Encosta though. Excellent wine!
