Visiting Willamette Valley: suggestions for visits

We did others but we really enjoyed… Le Cadeau, Patricia Green and Bethel Heights.

Here is a list of wineries to visit by area

Dundee - Domaine Drouhin, Domaine Serene, Archery Summit, White Rose and Argyle, Ayoub , Anne Amie

Newberg - Patricia Green, Bergstrom, Adelsheim, Penner-Ashe, Brick house, Sineann, Le Cadeau

Eola Amity - Cristom, St. Innocent, Witness Tree, Bethel Heights, Antica Terra, Evesham Woods

Last time there we stayed at LePuy - an inn just outside of Newberg. Very nice.
Painted Lady was great for dinner.

I’ll add to this thread in case it helps any future searchers.

We took a quick trip to the Willamette Valley last weekend. We ended up tasting at Adea, Patton Valley, Beaux Freres, and Penner-Ash. We really enjoyed all of them and thought they were all worthwhile stops.

Even though R. Dyer is a Duck, I second his recommendation of White Rose.

White Rose has a gorgeous location. The wines are better made and much less funky now. But, the prices have skyrocketed compared to where they were.

Very spotty performance for a few years IIRC with many being dense and extracted. Nobody seems to doubt the raw materials. I’ve heard the winemaking has improved. At current prices, let the critics rave and points chasers revel.

Was there last month for 3 days. Visited a number of the wineries that have been recommended. Our standouts were the following:
Colene Clemens - Beautiful location as well as very good wines.
Ayoub - Fun visit and great wines.
Iota - Small project tasted at the Tasting Room at Carlton, but you can visit.
Antica Terra - come for the wines…not the location (commercial space).

For food, really enjoyed Le Paulee and for more quick lunch grabs, Red Hill Provisioning. Enjoy!

Did you have an appointment with Moe at his place or at CWS?

Chris Czarnecki catered our lunch today at Penner-Ash. The best on-the-road lunch of the past 5 IPNC years, by far. Outstanding use of morels with elk sirloin. Candy cap mushrooms with appetizers and dessert. They just plain need to be experienced. Versatile culinary skill. Didn’t ask him about “Mom” but one could always do so when you book.

We met Moe’s assistant at his place (really his house with a very nice efficient winery attached) and enjoyed the tour and wines.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. We are looking forward to our first visit in September.

One more question - any golf course recommendations?
