I’ve noticed some bottle variation with these. This particular bottle showed much younger than previous did.
@Frank_Murray_III, I’ve had it twice and enjoyed both bottles. I agree, it’s unique. It’s closer to a sparkling red wine than a rosé.
Truth. Well put there, Warren.
2010 Patricia Green Estate Old Vine
In a really beautiful spot right now(or at least earlier this week, when I meant to post). Elegant, with some secondary notes of forest floor and spice, but paired with youthful red fruit and fine tannins.
Still lovely day two, though maybe not quite as complete on the palate.
*lack of detail in the notes due to a distracted week and not the wine itself….
Aiya! (As we say here in Hong Kong) I just discovered this excellent feature of WB. Which means I don’t have picture of my two bottles of 100% PN from the last 2 weeks and I didn’t post TNs because they are bottles I have had many times before. Earlier TN on those wines:
Rather than match, I cleared 3 items from the Laura’s House Amazon Urgent wishlist.
(Also slightly late, but I assert that it is just still 27th in some part of the world!)
We’ll have week 2 up and running soon, classic theme as only Seiber can do, starting this Wednesday.
Starts today for him. Error on my dates.
Since the other weeks have all been built around the other dates, mine is going to start on Wednesday November 30, and the others will start on subsequent Wednesdays. I’ll start a post here for my week shortly.
Ok everyone, we have come to an end. With that…
-for those who expressed some kind of matching donation, please make it on the LH website. www.laurashouse.org. Select the “In Honor Of/In Memory Of” and then type in “Wine Berserkers” in the comment field so they know it’s coming from all of us.
–to @P_a_u_l_Christensen , thank you for taking a crack at the Amazon Urgent wishlist. Those items will help directly for the work the emergency shelter is doing, as well as the family counselors. Appreciate you.
–as for my donation, I counted a little over $800 so I will round it up to $900, and with that, my WB matching donor will add another $900, so that puts us at $1,800.
–should any of you want to make a one-off or matching donation, please do it directly to Laura’s House using the guidance I typed above.
Thanks to everyone for contributing notes, time and sharing photos of who you are. When we come together, and we put aside division, politics and other separating factors, we can lead and help others. For that, I am grateful for all of you, and for what you have done this past 10 days for the families and children of Laura’s House.
Some more good news tonight…my matching donor has rounded up their donation to $2,000. Man, the generosity of some folks around here is heart warming. THANK YOU!
Massive kudos to both of you!
Sorry that I was away for the period of this challenge. Made a donation just now through my employer’s matching gifts portal.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU to our ambassador extraordinaire Frank Murray and all of you wonderful wineberzerker’s members who participated in Frank’s challenge. You have again shown your big hearts and amazing financial support for the clients of Laura’s House! You keep us motivated to do this work, which is particularly difficult during the holidays, especially for the children. Our clients are successful in their goal to create a safe and healthy life for their families because of the continued support you provide.
Thank you so much for making such a positive difference, and giving a chance
to those who need it most.
Wishing you all a happy, wine filled and peaceful holiday season.
Margaret (CEO-Laura’s House).
I like the berZerkers. With the z. I has an certain appeal to it.
I think the first time I tried to write it, I thought there was a Z. You certainly pronounce it that way.
Everyone loves to use apostrophes these days. How about B’Zerkers?
I polished off my last two bottles of this wine last night and it was fantastic - gained some complexity and texture, really wonderful. The proof was once the first bottle was opened, those who were enjoying it (me, my father-in-law, and even my daughter) all wanted another of the same. Fortunately I had ONE MORE!
Sweet. Which wine?
It was a reply to your reply of Bob Hughes’ review of the 2014 Patricia Green Berserkers Cuvee - come on man, click the ‘load parent post’ so you know to what the response was directed!
Easier to ask. I’m old.
Oh bullshit on that.
