VIRAGE NAPA VALLEY Steals on Right-Bank Blends -- Library Verticals and DIY Bundles **EXTENDED: CODE BD15 stays live until I run out of shippers!”

Oh it sure does count sister!

Hi Greg! And probably near every year in between! Thank you so much. This is kinda heartbreak y’all—I always assume you’re sick of me then every year you show up, you BURY me in orders and keep me busy organizing labels and shippers and packing boxes obsessing about the weather for three months.

@NestorJohnSalazar and all… Good question… So much missed opportunity, to rebuild and make new wines to restore trust in the fire department… Every year I say never again and you guys pick me up. The Franc picked me up. The new management at Bell Wine Cellars where I am licensed to produce is wonderful. They made me want to come back and work harvest. I saw a vineyard for sale and had to force myself to not look—so perfect for Virage… I get energized every BDay to bring you something good at the next one… but we all have to retire eventually…

For sure, I would have retired and become a barista at Starbucks five years ago but you all show up with such love, it pulls me back in. I don’t know that anywhere else. I’m not going anywhere. I’m an old school Berserker to death. I’m just too far behind in rebuilding my life to try to produce wine right now, on my own. I need to break the patterns and move onward. But, as insane as my inbox is right now… I can’t even look (if I see one more 9-bottle order!) I’m not going to sell out here. Not even close. There’s at least a hundred cases of everything.

So y’all will hear from me. NOTE to new sellers: Don’t be like Emily who hates sales emails so much, she never sends them, you gotta reach out to your buyers in the fall. Berserkers won’t come to you. Everybody comes to them.

So, drink up kids, there WILL be refresh opportunity. I’m a BerserkerBusiness, maybe something in Commerce Corner or maybe our favorite Napa retailer will stock my wines, supplying the remarkable thirst for Virage from their shop? Why have I never been in there?

Indulge me a little further… Y’all keep buying these three library vintages because they continue to evolve and are different wines every year. The first time I repeated an offer, someone mocked me and I was mortified and afraid to bring the same wines back again. But I have them, so I did—what do I have to lose but pride. And I taste and they’re so good!! And there’s always new buyers but always at least half repeats… alway a longer list to organize and work through. Five-day forecast tabs on my phone for new places—shout out to Omaha!! I done did what I did do. Fully unabashed. I have you guys to thank for that.

I see a 2022 wine label and I think, ACK so young! Or How the Hxxx did that happen so fast I’m still trying to recover from the 2020 fire. Trust me I’ve made very little progress.

Ok Emily, enough, it’s not goodbye it’s just a final BerserkerDay. I need to print and log orders and address the Naughty Niners, or find a source for 9-bottle shippers—cuz, really? If yours has 9 bottles, I’m comin for ya—

Thank you for always being here. I love you. I’ll see you in the Asylum—

I’m sad to hear this is the final, as last year was my first. I got a mix case last year, have consumed half and am enjoying my favorite, the 2011, as I write this. I was unsure I was going to do another order, but as this is the last chance, I had better.

My BerserkerDay tradition it seems is to enjoy a bottle of the Bourriquot. I opened it last night and enjoyed that and what is left with dinner is even better.

Buy the wine!

I’m holding off on ordering so all the new folks can grab their bottles. I’m pretty deep in the cellar with Virage and these are outstanding wines. If anyone buys these and it’s not their style, I’ll buy them off of you.

I hope I had a little to do with all the Omaha orders. Selfishly glad to hear you still have some inventory since I “only” ordered the case and a 3 pack of Cab Franc.

Good luck in any and all future endeavors Emily, I can’t express enough how much I really love your wines.

In for a mixed 6-pack. It was my only BD15 purchase!

Another Omaha restock in.

Placing an order for the 6-pk vertical and 6pack Bourriquot. Can’t see how to direct to local Fedex office rather than my residence.

I’m in. You had me at “aged” and “aromatics”. Excited to taste a decade-plus of your work.

Got a Barrel Select and 12 pack w/ “vintner’s choice”.

I Zelle’d you payment … thank you for offering the option for bypassing the middle-men. (It also keeps my BD15 purchases to what I should afford on a cash basis

I’ll send you an email, may just add a wee comment in the “notes” area which location you like–street name usually enough. The closest five locations to your address will pop up for me when I create the shipping label. And I can always ask then. Some buyers actually type in c/o FedEx (or Walgreen’s etc) and the exact address in their Ship To address but this is not necessary. THANK YOU for accommodating.

Hey Emily! Gonna miss you here on berserkerday going forward.

Here’s a blast from the past for you - from our first in-home blind tasting we did where blind wine #5 (the 2007 Virage) beat out 7 other right bank Bordeaux and Cali cab franc blends to rule the day!!

If I knew how to put a little (heart) I would put a dozen. Love that you still have that bottle, it was a GREAT night- killer dinner your wife perfectly foiling all the bottles and helluva pack of smart folk! The company, not the wine, makes it truly Berserk…
