Hey Rick no problem…This sounds like the unit has moved from the original location, could that be? When a unit is moved to another location and if its laid on its side, it will cause the rack to shift and if not properly re aligned, when the bottles re load, the metal will bend. Simple fix if its bent a little is to turn the whole rack upside down. But if its a bend now, this will cause a larger problem later. You do need to address this now.

hi india. the unit was moved last month to another location but this problem occured years ago. not sure if having larger bottle on top caused this? i have one 3 ltr and few mags on top…
should i email you a picture?

I’ve had a 600E for 10 yrs now. Bought directly from Vinotemp, and have had this unit in my garage (Orange County, CA) for the entire time. I have the higher-output cooler, and although there’s no question it runs a lot, the unit has performed flawlessly save for one racking issue, which was resolved right away with Vinotemp. India and I have already conversed on this issue, and I highly recommend the ALL WOOD racking, rather than the wood-metal matrix, as it is just flat out stronger and holds nearly all bottle shapes. Personally, I would indeed buy a Vinotemp again.

As to the collapse, did it look something like this?

I also have the 600E with the upgraded cooling unit. Has been working fine and is also in the garage. The only drawback is trying to remove bottles from the bottom that are in the back (this unit is 3 deep storage). Got mine from Ebay, one year old from a guy with a few thousand bottles who built an on-site wine wine cellar. Cost was $1700, delivered and set-up.
