One of my local wine stores has Van Volxem Goldberg Riesling 2012, but I don’t find many TNs on it. Anyone had it? Apparently it’s “Grosse Lage,” equivalent to Grand Cru, so one of their higher-end bottlings. TIA!
I haven’t had the 2012, only recently the 2009. I like this bottling from Van Volxem. Pricewise, it’s one of their middle-class wines (costs 17 Euros in Germany). The vineyard is a bit off from the Saar, close to a forest and not super-steep (relatively speaking). Depending on the price, I’d go for it.
