50 years from now California will have figured out what grows best where and will truly be a world beater on the Int wine scene - that is if Gallo doesn’t consolidate the whole industry!
What signs do you see to encourage you to believe this? If anything, Napa (just to name one huge example) has doubled down on riper, higher octane, more heavily oaked Cabernet wines, at higher and higher prices. And obviously people are buying them. I don’t see any pressure from consumers to change the direction of the wine industry in California.
