US Nebbiolo

Cuneo (Cana’s Feast) has made Nebbiolo both from Washington (Ciel du Cheval) and Oregon (Del Rio, which is down in the Rogue River Valley and grows Syrah as well). I had a bottle of what I think was the inaugural vintage (1996) and drank it a few years ago. My assessment was that it was over-oaked for my tastes but had reasonable raw material to back up the wood, if you don’t mind the wood. I see some notes in CT on newer vintages, some quite positive, others ho-hum.

Happy hunting,
fred
