Be easy on the friends and family tomorrow if they mispronounce anything. It may be hard, but try and resist the urge to correct them. I know you can do it :+1: :wine_glass:

Yeah, I tend not to work that way. Bad grammar is the bane of my existence. My friends and family are fully aware of my tendencies and idiosyncrasies but still like me for some reason. Maybe it’s the wine I serve them.

“Try and” is incorrect. The correct form is “try to.”

I’ve heard that often people mispronounce words because they read them, not heard them.
So…they do so for a good reason.

Fair enough. We were addressing spelling/grammar errors more than mispronunciations. But I appreciate that we used to have a President who often mispronounced a certain word as “newculer”.
