Two excellent California Cabs: 06 Drinkward Peschon and 05 Keever

Both wines opened the night before and refrigerated. The 05 Keever has come a long way from when I first purchased my case. The oak is beautifully integrated and now only shows in the form of spices. No real notes other than both have lots of dark fruit, low acidity but not flabby at all. The DP benefits a lot more from air as the Keever is more ready to go out of the bottle. Excellent wines, both merit a 94 from me.

It’s really sad that Keever made a significant jump in price with the 06 vintage and I did not buy any bottles. Read some really nice reviews about the wine.

Nice notes.Thanks.
