A group of us headed to Brian’s house to drink a lot of the same wines being auctioned. I’m a little biased, because Disclaimer that I’m friends with Paul Gordon, but let me tell you the wines showed brilliantly. These are world class Syrahs, particularly the Alturas and Copain bottlings, with all the nogocient bottlings being excellent as well. Buying anything from these auction lots is a great way to help the fire victims, and put some outstanding wines in your cellar.
