Troquet for grand Cru Bordeaux-- Thurs Sept.24th.

A table for eight has been reserved for 7:00.

Register and discuss wines on other site so I can keep everything together in one place.
This will fill up fast so don’t dally.

We can do a vertical, horizontal, right - left bank or a range of years.
Any suggestion?

Those who have signed up: Re-affirm please with the wine you will be bringing
on the other site.

Nothing but since I am organizing this I am making it easier on myself to coordinate the event.

Let me get this straight…you’ve been doing this for 40 years and your one of the first guys ever to organize an offline.

But your unable to look at 2 boards to see who signed up?

How funny is that? [welldone.gif] [welldone.gif] [welldone.gif]

When you do one you can do it your way.

Don’t break your arm patting yourself on your back headbang rolleyes neener

Just for the record, your buddy Squires deleted an Offline thread of mine on eBob and said that there should be no cross board posting of events.

Bill, That is really pissy.

Robert, Untrue anyone in the World can VIEW the other board.

I was just in Mexico and on a computer that doesn’t know me for shit and I had no problem catching up. Didn’t sign on as I wasn’t going to post.

Pissy for me or him?

You cannot see commerce corner or social hall if not logged in, plus Neal Matin and Anontio’s forums are subscriber only. Guess you are special.

Planning an offline is not rocket science…I can’t pat myself on the back for something this easy. [popcorn.gif]

Steve the pat on the back comment was for all you “well dones”
Squires is sometimes paranoid there is no reason for that action but it indicates that he must read ‘this’ board [swoon.gif]

So far:

Those who have signed up: what wine you will be bringing

\

  1. Ron Kramer------------'83 Ch. Margaux
  2. Salil Benegal----------'83 Brane-Cantenac
  3. Tim Riley
  4. Gerry Morrisey---------'89 Ch. Mouton
  5. Kevin Foley-------------'89 Ch. d’Yquem
  6. Angelo Manioudakis—'70 Ch. Mouton
  7. Ted Demopoulos------'88 Ch. Margaux
  8. Didier Tib ------------'86 Vieux Chateau Certan

That’s a very impressive lineup, Ron.

If i had something comparable, i might have joined this one…looks amazing.

You don’t need to, get on the waiting list.

Tim,Kevin and Didier; speak up [tease.gif]

I hope he’s not worried about “Bringing a bozo wine or a ‘label’ known to be crap” which could “embarass the owner” because you “would not look foward to participating with you again.” We all know that bad bottles happen" but noone would want to bring “village wines that you know are ordinary” because they “are not what we expect eating at Troquet.”

Does a Foley “Claret” count as a “Big Bordeaux”? [swoon.gif]

No, but it does count as a lousy bottle of wine. [training.gif]
