I have a work assignment upcoming in Redding and will likely be there a few weeks a year in the coming years. Looking for any good food/restaurant destinations in the area, or good spots with wine selections to enjoy. Good wine store recs in the area also welcomed, as are recs for anything else (beautiful nature sites, random kitchy Americana destinations, you name it) in what seems based upon my limited research to be a relatively quiet area. I can always just put my head down and work my nose to the grindstone, but if there is anything to enjoy in the area on top of that, I would love to know about it.
