Hi Tom,

My wife had one of her best friends staying with us during the holiday weekend. She mentioned she never had tried a Sauternes and although I have quite a stash, mostly 1983-1989 vintages, but some more recent but few in halves … I noticed an untouched parcel of 2005 Rieussec in 375s. I yanked the cork and sipped it with her until it was gone. Your TN was spot on, I had this at 95 points and truly felt that it was close to the excitement I felt with the 2001 Rieussec at the same age. Gorgeous juice. Don’t know what made me buy 2005s, as I don’t need the young ones, but glad to find out how good this really is.
