This afternoon we went to an enjoyable sake tasting at Susan’s. We tasted the following sakes:
Yoi No Tsuki “Midnight Moon” Daiginjo - rich, earthy and very good (I bought one)
Yuki No Bosha Limited Release Junmai Ginjo - very rich and flavorful
Yuki No Bosha Junmai Ginjo Nigori - rich, good and cloudy, as expected
Daku Nigori Junmai Sake - more rice flavor and cloudier than the previous one, a classic Nigori
Eiko Fuji “Glorious Mt. Fuji” Ban Ryu (Ten Thousand Ways) - very nice and light, tasty
Shichi Hon Yari “The Seven Spearsmen” Junmai - rich, rustic and flavorful
and to finish- Hakuryu Ume-shu Plum Wine - very good, richer and more complex than the ones we used to drink in SoCal
