TNs: Two Very Different White- Jermann, Rochioli

Jermann IGT Vinnae 2006:
Golden straw colored, with a nose that is muted at first, but later begins to show some signs of life- mostly fleeting moments of tangerine, pear and flower petal. Apricots, white pepper and oak all make an appearance but mostly the wine shows off flavors that seem a touch too reticent. Lemon, oak and petrol, with little bits of the other stuff. Just not as complex as I would have hoped. 87 (?) points

J Rochioli Sauvignon Blanc 2008:
Light yellow, with a brightish yellow rim. Ripe green apple flavors dominate the nose, along with a touch of fig and melon. Some exotic fruits (think stone fruits, melons, etc.) make up the middle of this light-bodied, crisp wine. Not heavily layered or complex, but a very decent drink. The last glass reveals a little more tropical fruit zest and lemongrass. 88 points
