2006 Verget Bourgogne Blanc Terroirs de Cote d’Or - France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Blanc (11/20/2009)
13.0% alcohol. Delightfully light, crisp, and drinkable, if lacking somewhat in complexity. Pretty nose of apple and pear, streaked with minerals. Bright and juicy in the mouth, with pure, stony fruit. Good acidity. Solid finish. Just extremely pleasant. B+ -
2007 Maison Albert Bichot Chablis Domaine Long-Depaquit - France, Burgundy, Chablis (11/20/2009)
12.5% alcohol. Very light yellow color. Terrific nose of quartz, slate, and apple. In the mouth, delivers less concentration than the nose, but it’s still refreshing and tasty, with a stony fruit emphasis all the way. Bright acidity. A bit more concentration would raise it to the next level. B+
