Bodegas Berroja Berroia Txakolina 2008:
Pale straw/green apple colored, with aromas of peach, slate, minerals and fresh flowers. Zippy and balanced, like biting into a meaty, delicious melon sprinkled with anise/peppercorn and a squirt of citrus. 90 points
Neudorf Sauvignon Blanc 2007:
Freshly cut grass and herbs, orange zest, lime peel, meaty tropical fruits (with a bit of pulp) and a bit a crushed seashell form an expressive, refreshing thirst quencher for the sticky, hot summer months. 88 points
Craggy Range Fletcher Family Vineyard Riesling 2008:
This is about as good as it gets for me when it comes to Riesling from NZ. This is really incredible stuff. Exotic tropical fruits are intermixed with bits of Kaffir lime, Jasmine , grapefruit, minerals and chalk. Explosive flavor, taut finish, super wine. 94 points
