Sine Qua Non In Flagrante 2000:
This is a wonderfully made, incredibly expressive wine. Explosive right away- jumping out of the decanter with exotic aromas of peach nectar, fresh flowers, ripe red fruit and honey. It was delicious immediately as well and try as I might I couldn’t stop bringing the glass to my mouth. I wanted to stop . . . really. I tried to stuff myself with food (we were at Fogo de Chao) and that helped, briefly. But the wine was, well, enchanting. As it began to open up it revealed a complex portfolio of bacon fat, vanilla cream, black plum, camphor, licorice, smoke, wild blueberries, crushed stones and, perhaps my favorite part, meaty, sweet peach skins (that 4% Viognier really shows!). This wine is in a great place right now but I don’t think it has hit its peak either. Best showing yet! 97 points

I believe this is one of the greatest wines ever produced in Bordeaux. I own a few half bottles and I thought this might be a cool time to check in on one. WOW! I guess that is why I always buy some small bottles. Deep black color, intensely concentrated, full of dark black fruits, smoked meats, impressive mineral content and one of the longest finishes I ever experienced. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a perfect wine. If you want to know what a perfect wine is I urge you to search this wine out. 100 points
