Kids are welcome pretty much anywhere in Montreal but if you’re looking for a chill place, you have options:
-
Jardin de Panos on Duluth, BYOB so hit SAQ Laurier, Maisonneuve or De La Montagne before going there and bring your own wine. Order the lentil soup, Pikilia, Chicken brochette and Filet Mignon brochette. No reservation in the jardin but it’s a nice place to eat. No Michelin star here, just honest food and BYOB
-
Hoogan et Beaufort: the kids will love seeing the open fire grill, ask for them to go in the kitchen. Wine list is pretty good including old Musar and Clos du Jaugueyron.
-
Chez Alep, marché Jean-Talon, Syrian cuisine, wine list is not amazing but it’s decent, food is good and they love kids
-
Chez Victoire, decent food, decent vibe, decent wines, kids welcome, terrasse out front
-
Montréal Plaza, very good food, fun wines, kids very welcome
And then the standard foodie hangouts: Bouillon Bilk, Chasse et Pêche, Le filet, Maison Boulud, Joe Beef, Milos, Graziella, Toqué, Le Renoir, La Chronique, Léméac, Jatoba, etc… kids are welcome everywhere.
There are many other places I could recommend. PM me with more criteria if you want
