I ordered some 2013 Vincent futures and opened 4 of the most accessible bottles tonight. From what I’ve tasted thus far, and from the selection tonight of his 2013’s, I think Vincent is a pretty gifted winemaker.
2013 Vincent Chardonnay- USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (11/13/2014)
I struggled to figure out what this tasted like and finally settled on naked chardonnay. There were creamy pears, lemon and perhaps some pineapple and hazelnut. Medium plus acidity with very good texture despite the lack of butter or oak. Primary but with a good core of flavors and frame.
2013 Vincent Pinot Blanc- USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, McMinnville (11/13/2014)
Pears, apples, white flowers, apricot, minerals, medium acid. Very forward nose, suggesting RS but it’s pretty dry. Crisp when served chilled. A bright point of the evening.
2013 Vincent Pinot Noir Eola - Amity Hills- USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (11/14/2014)
Cherry, green strawberries, rhubarb, pomegranate, smoky minerals, creamy, slight herbal, and chalky edge. Adult pinot noir.

[*]2013 Vincent Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge- USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge (11/13/2014)
Dark cherries, plums, roses, fresh tilled soil, olives, cookie spices, medium plus acidity; riper than the eoly-amity bottle, more lifted and floral and sweeter fruit.
I picked up mine yesterday and saw your notes on CT. I agree Vincent makes some good wines. I first bought a sixer of his VW from Storyteller last year and was suitably impressed.
Thanks for being the guinea pig on these wines as I took a flyer on 2 of all wines offered as well. From what I have read they sound wonderful and am looking forward to popping some corks. Just arrived from UPS so will let them settle in a little…
I’m claiming one of those berserkers packs already. Lol.
On an unrelated side note, I just realized I had coded the Eola-Amity pinot I had last night as the Bjornson. I didn’t open a Bjornson. Change made above.
Jules and drank a bottle of the '12 Eola-Amity Hills a few days ago. It was just delicious. No formal notes but every time I drink a Vincent PN, I think how much the style hits what I look for in pinot noir.
2013 Vincent Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge- USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge (9/5/2018)
Medium ruby, garnet with nose of red currants and sorrel. Dry with light fruit and body, smooth with light acid and well integrated tannins. Soft mouth feel and drinking very well now. Some leather three nights later, fruit and body putting on weight, more akin to a BdM tonight than a PN. I can live with that. This is one good bottle of wine, Vincent always over delivers. The '13s started out lean and austere, but are developing into a really good place with 5 years past vintage age. One left out of three, and I only paid $20, should have bought a case at that price. (94 pts.)
Coincidentally, I just drank the 2013 Bjornson Vineyard PN from Vincent this weekend. Full notes soon but it was really tasty. Similar experience to your 2013 RR.
