    12.0% alcohol. From half bottle. Every bit as good as the first. Lively from start to finish, with a creamy and yeasty edge to the citrus, apple, and pear notes on the nose. Focused and powerful in the mouth, with a downhill momentum to the palate: the fruit at the forefront, but this strength just pushing it across the tongue. Deeply complex but a wine that isn’t plodding in its seriousness. Long finish. Delightful. A
  • 2005 Arcadian Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (10/30/2009)
    14.5% alcohol. I’m still amazed at how light and fragrant this wine is. The floral aspect of the nose was more prominent in this bottle, with a touch darker fruit profile. Still compelling in the mouth. Just tasty and delicious. A-
  • 2007 Carlisle Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley (10/30/2009)
    15.1% alcohol. Opened two hours before serving but not decanted. Spicy and briary nose, with lots of black fruit. Lush on the palate. Eminently drinkable right now. Loaded with slightly jammy fruit. Lots of spice. A-

Nice notes Tom. I really dug that Arc when I popped one back in the Spring.
Wide open and tasty already. Nice buy there.
