TNs from last night: V&S, prieur brunet, lenoble, lapierre, Rieussec

All from magnum except the Rieussec.

2014 AR Lenoble Mag 14 Intense BdB Chouilly

This was soft, easy going, and too easy to drink. Not a lot of punch but was a lovely Champagne.

2014 Vouette et Sorbee L’Argile BdB

Nice cut and acidity, very focused and precise wine and a nice finish.

2014 Prieur-Brunet Meursault 1er Charmes

Lovely wine with fascinating nose. White peach and some honeysuckle and tropical notes. Well integrated and excellent minerality on the palate.

2017 Marcel Lapierre Morgon

Drinking lovely, an easygoing wine with pretty crunchy red fruits on the nose and a lovely palate with extremely long finish. Always makes you think you should drink more Beaujolais.

2001 Rieussec

This was a bit darker than I’m used to, bottle may have been a little advanced. Similar overripe pineapple and apricot nose with strong palate presence and extremely long finish. I think this was a step behind bottles I’ve had recently, likely not the best bottle, but still very nice.

Sounds like the Lenoble wasn’t really intense?

Yeah not so much, it was really good though.
