TNs: Five Random Wines (Worst Notes Ever)

Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape Chante le Merle Vieilles Vignes 2007:
Inky black color with a ruby rim. A big brooding brawler a first, with loud, cacophonous flavors of black cherry, violet and licorice. In the mouth the wine reveals notes of bloody meat, graphite, super-ripe blackberries and, oddly enough, Nori! The wine is all raw materials but should come together to form a nice wine. I doubt I will wait around for this to happen since I am such a Rhone pessimist! But I did buy some magnums just in case I change my mind. 93 points

Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve Vino da Tavola 2004:
After such an excellent experience with the '01 on NYE I was excited to try this wine. Too bad it was corked!
NR/Flawed

Bodegas El Nido El Nido 2005:
I could handle two full sips. I guess it wouldn’t really be fair to give a proper rating. But I didn’t care for it.

Henschke Semillon Louis 2005:
Oily, waxy and still fresh. Some mineral, melon and lemongrass, only a touch of acid and oak, and yet this is a wine that manages to produce a finish that lingers. 87 points

Domaine Dupeuble Pere et Fils Beaujolais 2006:
Another flawed bottle! Was going to have with sloppy Joe’s too!
NR/Flawed

I was expecting much worse. You let me down. neener

Syrah taste off as a pregame!
