Thanks Mike. I too look forward to your demi- famous poll.
I agree with Neal, Kansas has so many newcomers and is a completely different team than last year. Wiggins is not the only pearl of the newbies. I do know this. They are exhibiting great togetherness already and athletically have 10-11 guys who are as good potentially as any team Self has coached by his own admission. It may take them 2-3 months to put it all together, especially with the most challenging preseason schedule in the land which should serve to get them to another level of competitiveness and further in the tournament. Rock Chalk!
Nuts as it may sound, I would more likely have Kansas in my Final Four than in the preseason Top 5 for that very reason. They could be crazy good by the end of the year. Or not.
Enough drift (though I admit fault to starting the boulder rolling)—we’ll get a College Hoops thread started soon enough…as soon as I’m done reading my two magazines!
This is for Alan, Neal and others who inquired about the food. In addition to the amuse-bouchet and chocolates at the end, we ordered their Avantplat, Quenelle de Brochet A.T., Lotte Poche au Bouilllon Safrane, Millefeuilles dAgneau Confit and Filet de Canette de Vendee. We also enjoyed a Selection de Fromages Afffines. The desserts pictured were: Meringue Cassis et Glace Vanille and Tartelette Chocolat Tour d Argent Frami.
All food was presented magnificently and fortunately for us, prepared righteously and tasted great and paired well with the wines.
