TNs - Anne Gros + an Embarrassment of Good Wine

Where was this?

At the the home of a (very generous, non-Berserker) local wine guy.

Thank you for sharing this @RyanC I gyuess I should be more active here. A few notes:

  • Clos Vougeot Le Grand Maupertrui Vineyards were planted in 1904
  • We also had the Clos Vougeot 2019 at that evening

Anne is lovely and very approachable as you mentionned and it is a treat to have her in the US, she is loving it here and I feel like we’ll be seeing more of her in the future.

As far as Richebourg 2020, I have a feeling that you know someone that could help

This was a memorable evening with many great friends and to me, the definition of what sharing should be all about.

Cheers!!!

I know, it is hard to find the time to do everything as I often say “my focus is my strength” which also means that I am the CEO, GM, CMO, CFO as well as the Sales Director
hope to add the WB Active member to the resume as well down the road.

I had the opportunity to taste Anne Gros’ 2022’s at La PaulĂ©e on Saturday, and it was honestly the highlight of the entire tasting for me. Incredibly impressed with her wines, especially the Richebourg which I preferred to the EchĂ©zeaux.

GC fruit is of course GC fruit, so honestly I think what I took away the most was how good her Hautes-CdN was, especially when you consider it was sub-$50 on release. Bravo, and I’ll definitely be looking out for her wines in the future.
