I had a good bottle of the 2004 Bourgogne last night.
Only drank about 1/4 of it.
The wine needs time to resolve and develop some secondary/tertiary notes.
Good fruit.
I am saving the rest.

2002 Chevillon NSG Les Chaignots

Repeat my prior tasting note.
This is major league Vosne in character to me with a little rusticity.
(I realize it is from NSG but…)
Amazing stuff.
Great length.

Perfect with my new hard disc copy of a wonderful Coltrane performance with Philly Joe/McCoy/Paul Chambers in Sweden circa 1960. Oh my.
This guy can channel some music!

Good producers, those.
I have some of the Leroy and appreciate the tip.
All my Chevillon is from '99 and the last time I tried any of them, I got the impression that waiting was required. I’m betting this guy’s stuff from good years will out-last us.
