The DP is not ready to drink yet, but better the next day. Day one too much vanilla cocoa stuff, day 2 fruit in better focus. 88-90pts.
The Halter Ranch Syrah is a bargain around $20. Good fruit and chocolaty, easy on the palate, a very solid wine. 90-91 points. I have to say that the Syrah tastes more like a nice Cabernet than Syrah, frankly, I don’t mind it.
