TNR: Tertre Roteboeuf 2001

Love the property, love the vintage, how’s this combo? Haven’t had it yet.

No recent notes. The last time I had it was something like '06 and I remember thinking it must have been a California wine . . . vanilla oak, prune-ish fruit, etc. There was potential but was not my favorite.

Thanks. This wine almost always ends up settling down. Initial reviews of this wine is like scoring super immature Burgundy, it does almost no good. This wine develops amazing secondary character, but takes a long time to do it. An 89 I had recently was incredible, just hoping to find some value.
