TNR: Goulee (Bordeaux or Bordeaux Blanc)

Anyone had a bottle of either the 2005/2006?

Also, any feedback on the Goulee Blanc? Apparently much of the same ingredients for the storied Cos d’Estournel Blanc are used in the Goulee Blanc but the cost is about $400/bottle less.

Appreciate the feedback if any exists…

I had the Goulée Blanc 2005 and according to CT I seem to be the only one. My note is there but in French. In short, this is quite the crowd pleaser, a tad oaky but lots of freshness and charm. 88 pts both times I rated it, but a big hit with non-wine geeks friends. Definitely worth trying.

I also had the reds 2004 and 2005. There is a modern side to it which would not appeal to all but I found it well made, with finesse, very nice balance, simply delicious. An early drinker not meant for long term aging. Here is the detailed TN if you know any French:

89 pts
