If you enjoy Archery Summit’s profile generally, you will enjoy the wine. '12 is similar to '09, but not quite as ripe, and I think the new winemaker is eliminating the reduction issues that some of the wines had in the previous vintages. If '06 was jammy, '09 was juicy, and '12 is fruity. Still some nice structure, and a bigger wine (as ASW’s house style is). Definitely more dark fruit/juice flavors than '11 or '10, which I feel were bright fruit and clean earth. I haven’t been very high on the wines the past few years (as they generally need a bunch of time in the bottle to really blossom, and the previously mentioned reduction issues), but the '12s are showing very nicely and I have enjoyed all of them.

Yes, Pine Ridge and Archery Summit were both founded by Gary Andrus, and are both currently owned by the Crimson Wine Group, which also owns Seghesio, Chamisal Vineyards, and Double Canyon (in WA).
The new winemaker at Archery Summit is Chris Mazepink, formerly of Benton-Lane, Shea, and Lemelson. He took over last year, so he put the '12 blends together and managed the cellar work of those, and '13 is his first full vintage.
