My biggest gripe with Lewelling is they don’t guarantee allocations. Got 2007, lost out on the 2008s…got 2009, lost out on the 2010s…got 2011, seriously hoping I’ll be available to purchase the 2012s immediately upon receiving the email.
We had the 2011 over two nights. It held very well to the second day, and clearly has the bones for improvement with bottle aging. Very impressive showing, especially for the vintage
Alex- they are very loyal to their retail and restaurant base and i believe 50% go to these channels. If you start looking in early Sept you can usually find at retail. Sometimes they are priced pretty close to release though many retailers have them marked up quite a bit.
