Otto, as much as I admire Celia, I think this is a pass for me. $125.00 a bottle and they send me my wine in October without notice. it came warm but not hot. I have not loved some of the 06’s i have tried so it is a vintage to pass except for Scarecrow and Maybach that has garnered raves here.
Unfortunately, I am with Jack on this one. I will be taking all the Maybach I can get and any Scarecrow if offered. She makes good wines no doubt, but I likes me some Maybach for the same scratch.
I am getting mixed information on 2006 Napa Cabs. It’s really frustrating and making it really difficult to pull the trigger on wines I would typically buy. Thomas Rivers Brown, for example, loves 2006 for Cabs; however, both Parker and Laube seem moderately positive to just lukewarm. Unfortunately, I have not tasted enough to form my own opinion. So I guess I am kind of on the fence on this one.
You have given yourself the answer. Just buy TRB Cabs. I already have my Schrader and will buy the Maybach.
