The story with Bitch was that it was named that way because it was such a “bitch” to sell Aussie Grenache. Why the pink label? Not sure.

The Pink Label that reads “Bitch”, is marketing at it’s best for women . Everyone that walks in and sees the label has a sister or friend that they think should have one whether the wine is good or not and paired along with the “Pure Evil” chardonnay, put them together and you have
“Pure Evil Bitch”. It may not be good wine but we sure sell lots of it. We also have cigars called “Cheap Bastard”, when paired with a bottle of “Bitch”, people love to give it to couple for a gift. All in the marketing.
