TNR: 01 Vielle Julienne Vielles Vignes CdP

Anyone had this in a while? Curious as to how it is drinking these days.

Saw this note on Cellar Tracker…not sure what to make of burning sand and sake though.

Dark purple/garnet. Intense and beautiful nose of grenache essence (bitter cherries), burning hot sand, sake and seaweed. Full-bodied, seamless, young, but amazing. This is not at the level of the Reserve (which I rated 99), but at one third the price it’s certainly close enough! Advice: decant for 2-3 hours to get the best of this beauty, better without food than with.
