A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. This Roussanne was a quite different beast from previous Jaffurs Roussannes and other whites. They tend to be on the rich/lush/soft side. This '12 Roussanne seemed much more reigned in than previous one. It’s still packed w/ Roussanne character, but more structured/leaner and more interesting than before. A terrific Roussanne.

Thanks. Mine just came on Friday. I went deep on the regular 12 as I loved our Santa Barbara Syrah grapes and am quite bullish on the vintage. I doubt my stash will make 8 years, but I am sure if they did, they would be better. They are just so good with a year or two and such a great value.

I popped an '11 Verna’s yesterday after receiving the wines on Friday. Still young of course, but reminds me of the really strong 2008 vintage. Blueberry jam meets peppered beef jerky. Should be killer in a few years.
