Tenuta Delle Terre Nere Guardiola 2006:
Lovely aromas of sweet red cherries are immediately noticeable, along with some roasted, smokey notes and pure vanilla. There are some dark berry flavors, ground spices and bramble- some of the fruit is a little showy, a little jammy, but for the most part the wine is fine and pure. Good acid and nice depth. Works for me. 90 points
Thx for the note John,
Have a Calderara Sottana on deck but haven’t cracked it yet. Almost did tonight to go w/ some nominally Italian/Mediterranean bean soup but went for a Sangiovese instead…
Josh, I like all of their wines. Don’t think you will be disappointed. But it might not hurt to hang on to the '06s a little longer.
John,
I have a bottle of 07 Terre Nere Don Peppino that I picked up in Milan for us to try.
Nice.
