TN short/boring: 2020 Domaine Génot Boulanger Puligny-Montrachet Les Nosroyes

Oh yes. Opened at 4:30pm had a sip, it was pretty good, but I put it in a decanter anyway because why not. Had about 2 hours later.

I call this “baby burg” it’s the real thing under $100 and drinks better than that. On the nose, hint of butter, white peach skin, lemon and a hint of what’s to come—stone.

Palate is like a bag of rocks, or so I’d imagine. Kind of chalky and like licking a rock in the best way, really enchanting. White peach comes through so does the lemon, apple, pear. The linear acid carries through the palate and offsets the chalkiness. Medium + finish.

This went really well with a Parmesan risotto that was topped with white bass filets and beurre blanc. (93 points)

Kevin, have you cleared this heading with Tom Hill? The review sounds great.
