Cracked this Riesling last night:

JakobSchneider Riesling Narheimer Kirschneck Spatlese Nahe (8%; A.P.Nr. 7 750 052 17 23; SkurnikWines/NY) Nierstein/Rhein 2022: Light gold color; very strong very fragrant R/floral/mango fairly strong petrol/Mosel valve oil slight pungent beautiful classic Rhein R nose; fairly tart rather sweet (6%-8% r.s.) intense floral/R/mango/pineapple some petrol/Mosel valve oil rich/lush slight mineral/flinty beautiful classic NaheR flavor; very long/lingering sweet very mango/pineapple/R finish; a beautiful expression of Spatlese R at a very attractive price. $34.00 (SFW&S)

  1. I was not expecting a whole lot from this Riesling. I was quite surprised w/ how good this was…one of the better R Spatlese that I’ve had in a few yrs. No reason it won’t go out another 10 yrs or more.
    I’m really liking the Jakob Schneider wines.
