Tried this ystrday afternoon w/ James:

Sant’Elena Klodic PinotGrigio IGT: VeneziaGiulia (14%; ViniferaImports) Gradisca d’Isonzo 2010: Pale copper/gold color; some cidery/resiny/phenolic rather appley/PG/earthy/apple compote/cinammon fairly complex/interesting nose; bit soft some tangy/orangey/grapefruity light phenolic/resiny/cidery rather appley/apple compote/spicy bit earthy flavor w/ light tangy tannins; med.long bit soft some tangy/orangey some phenolic/resiny/cidery rather appley/pear/apple compote finish w/ light tannins; nice balance of phenolic & fresh fruit; an attractive savory sort of wine. $16.00 (DiVino)

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. This seemed a bit austere on the palate when I first tasted it, but w/ some salami and smoked chevre, it really toned down and came alive. Reminds a bit of the Cowan ISA.
